The Power of Purple.

I used Beet Juice in a vegan pasta Bolognese sauce. It wasn't easy to tame the purple/red hue, This photo makes it look more red but it was a striking shade of beet purple until I added more things!

Cleo, our leopard gecko likes to sleep in one half of her magnetic ledge food and water dishes. She tips out the dish for water and sleeps in the remaining round hole.

Tiny prints on my doorstep. I wonder what's been here? Smaller than my cats prints, not small enough to be from a mouse. My handy track identifier suggests they may be from mink or weasel. I have seen mink a few times, thought our ferret had gotten out at first!

Giving the Christmas tree to the wildlife. This is an annual tradition for us. Somewhere on or around January 1st we put the Christmas tree outdoors, near the main bird feeders, and decorate it with bread, fruits, popcorn... anything leftover that wildlife, especially birds might enjoy.
