This is a picture of my brother Tristan in his solar system class. I am looking through the little bit opened doorway with a camera.

I don't know exactly what Colin is thinking here but it almost looks as if he's thinking I really shouldn't have another piece of cake but I will anyway. Most of my kids don't like a lot of sweets but Colin definitely does and was right there with other co-op kids scarfing down free cakes today.

Trying to melt the snow by pouring hot water on it.

Got to give them credit for a good idea but it would take a whole lot of hot water to get rid of all the snow.

Juley is definitely a lap cat. Tristan doesn't have a very big lap but Juley doesn't mind, any lap will do!

Homeschool family and multitude of pets bath and shower here.

I noticed these things on the bath edge this morning and felt it summed us up fairly well. World map shower curtain, building toys, animal toys, a bionicle and two types of pet shampoo.
Only one or two reports of the humans accidentally using the pets shampoo in all these years!

Quite a novelty to see heavy rain running down the road rather than heavy snow piling up.



Hopefully it will melt all this snow... and melt it fast.

Can't anyone DO something about all this snow? I want to go romping through the woods and play!

The fence in this dog yard is 6 feet plus an angled extension (which the vines are growing over) bringing it up close to another foot. There is less than a foot to go now before the top of the fence is covered. You can slightly see the "trail" the dogs have made through the yard to do their business. One more snow storm and a little wandering mood and they'll be able to step right over their fence and walk out! yes we need to shovel out there I guess, it's not usually an issue since most years they pack down a more normal amount of snow just through playing out there. The dogs don't seem to be spending much time outdoors these days anyway, the people either! Go away winter!!

homework blahs

I got Hayley this t-shirt to provide some comic relief. Hayley is the main one who wanted to take co-op classes this year and she does love them except for the HOMEWORK. She has 4 classes and in two of them they tend to give rather a lot of homework. Hayley doesn't seem to like doing the homework and I don't like keeping after her to do it, after all isn't this one of the reasons we homeschool-to avoid all this homework hassle! The last several weekend have been filled with me reminding the kids to do any co-op homework and them finding ways to avoid it. Hopefully this shirt will help make it all just a tiny bit better. Maybe nobody will want to do co-op classes next year because of all this homework....a Mom can hope!
