Poppy, our border collie dog, is perhaps the most highly strung and nervous dog on the planet. She's loyal, lovable and a protector but noises tend to frighten her. Perhaps something in her puppyhood occured, we'll never know why she is like this but she has always been. Today we were bringing in some wood and a heavy peice fell loudly to the floor. In a split second Poppy was across the room and onto Hayley's lap, seeming to say protect me sister!
Yes we tell Hayley the dogs are her sisters now, in hopes it may stop her dressing her youngest brother Tristan as a girl!

My in-laws had a dog like this. We were all over here for one of my boys birthday parties when we realized the FLASH from my camera was freaking him out. :-) They even talked about getting meds for him at one point as he was so high strung over certain things.
